about
When we wrote the lyrics for Patterns, we were pretty upset about the stark contrast of the wealthy versus the poor in NYC. Our day jobs consist of being private, in-home employees for primarily the 1%. Something about being exposed to this extreme financial difference everyday has constantly worn on us.
One of the greatest parts about NYC, and the rest of this world, is how we can all survive together, regardless of class. However, when the poor become desperately in need and those with money refuse to help or respond, faith in humanity can grow dim.
Patterns is our song about our personal hope for both groups to somehow merge through support and love… Money may not be the only solution…
As always, thank you for listening, and we hope you enjoy, “Patterns.”
Much love,
W&L
lyrics
Patterns of them in my life
Each and every day I abide
Patterns of them in my life
Each and every day I abide
Did you ever think
Love is on the brink
Of your money?
Money, money, money
Did you ever think
Love is on the brink
Of your money?
Money, money, money
Patterns of them in my life
Each and every day I abide
Patterns of them in my life
Each and every day I abide
Did you ever think
Love is on the brink
Of your money?
Money, money, money
Did you ever think
Love is on the brink
Of your money?
Money, money, money
